Describe the Resource:

The resources listed here are based on Shaykh Abul Hasan Ali al-Nadwi’s famous work, “Qasas al-Nabiyyeen”. These hand out only focus on the first story, the story of Ibrahim (as)

The hand outs have been separated in to the various chapters with the new vocabulary listed in the tables after each chapter.

Students will be expected to find the meanings of all the new vocabulary, both the verbs and nouns, prior to attending the class.

If the vocabulary are repeated in the following chapters, they will be removed from the next remaining vocabulary lists, and the diacritics of those words within the texts will also be removed. This will test the ability of students to recall previous vocabulary memorised.

The text should be used to highlight various grammatical usages within the language.

All students must independently find the meaning of all the new vocabulary listed in the boxes.
All students must attempt to translate the extract given (depending on the ability students, some students may be given fewer lines to translate).
Most students will translate the entire extract.
Some will be able to appreciate the grammatical rules found in all passages underlined.

Students should read the extract to one another and translate in class. This may be done in pairs on in groups. The page may be divided so that different groups work on different paragraphs/lines collectively and then rotate until all passages covered.
