Describe the Resource:
The sheet is simple, and has no defined activity on it. When given to students, collectively they are instructed to write a brief summary of heaven and hell in their own words on the sheet. Higher ability students are separately instructed to compare and contrast the description of the two in the textbook.
They should be asked questions such as, “Why does hell exist alongside heaven?”, “Why are the punishments in hell so severe?”, “What must one do in order to avoid the punishment of hell?”, “What does the hadith of ‘The Last Man to Enter Jannah’ teach us (in regards to Allah as Al-Ghaffur?)” etc.
These questions should be tailored according to discussions that took place in class in the previous week when the topic was taught.
