Describe the Resource:

The activity is to write a letter to a friend advising them on how to improve themselves.

Their letter should include suggestions and lessons learnt from the story of Habil and Qabil, justifying each point with an extract from the story.

With the attached layout for the letter, there are extracts from the story which can be printed and stuck on the board with bluetack to aid the students structure their writing and give ideas. These are the ones with writing in bold.

The boxes with writing not in bold have the lessons written on them. They can also be cut out but not stuck in the board. This is there for the students that may need extra support in analysing the lessons learnt from the extracts and should be provided at the teacher’s discretion.
